Location
Harrogate is situated in the heart of Yorkshire, England’s most beautiful county.
Harrogate retains its character as an elegant spa town, which makes it an ideal place to study. It has good transport links and is just 20 miles from the cities of Leeds, Bradford and York. As a major conference centre, the town is cosmopolitan, with excellent cultural, shopping, entertainment and sporting facilities.
The beauty of the Yorkshire Dales is renowned. It is an area of many moods. It is expansive, tranquil and charming and, at times, even awesome. Pretty market towns dotted throughout the Dales are filled with pubs, quaint shops and fantastic accommodation.
In contrast, a sense of space and solitude marks the North York Moors, where ridge upon ridge of heather moor land roll into the purple distance. Take a steam railway journey through ‘Heartbeat’ country or admire the view from the top of Sutton Bank – don’t forget your camera! It is little wonder that North Yorkshire was recently crowned the ‘Garden of England’!
The coastline of North Yorkshire holds some of our favourite spots. Whitby was recently voted the UK’s favourite seaside resort. Its maritime heritage together with its atmospheric Abbey, setting for Dracula, adds to its traditional seaside charm. Scarborough and Filey provide ample opportunity to enjoy traditional Victorian seaside resorts.
The College
We aim to help students do their best, realise their potential and equip them with the academic and communication skills essential for success.
We encourage them to achieve maturity and social awareness in an informal environment with experienced, well qualified tutors who are both accessible and supportive. The College acts as a bridge between school and university.
We provide high-quality teaching and classes are small, maximum eight, average four students and although the workload is high, students enjoy being here and achieve results better than they originally expected. College accommodation includes science laboratories, library, computer suite with free wireless broadband Internet access and a common room with snack facilities.

International Students have the opportunity to improve their English whilst studying at the College as we offer a LINK course, which combines English with GCSE or A level subjects. If a student's level of English is too low, they join our Intensive English classes before starting their academic course.

We offer English Language and other courses to overseas students. We also have British students studying for the UK national examinations.
We are a small, fully accredited and friendly college situated in the elegant spa town of Harrogate in a beautiful part of the North of
England. The college is located in safe and attractive surroundings close to extensive parkland. We are a ten-minute walk from the town centre.
Accommodation
Students who live too far away to commute stay with carefully selected host families or residence close to the college. Our accommodation Officer deals with any problems, which may arise. You have your own room and house key, and are treated as an adult member of the family. They provide weekly boarding and full board at weekends, if you decide to stay. It is very important that students are happy with their accommodation.
Social Programme and
Students enjoy being here. It is hard work but in a friendly, adult and supportive atmosphere. There are college parties and discos and students join local sporting and cultural clubs. We have no dress code; students and staff are on first-name terms. The college feels more like university than school.
