Placement Details
Each Work Experience placement will last for a pre-determined length of time, normally 4, 8 or 12 weeks. Longer placements are available but they can only be considered when taking into account the needs of both the business and the student.
Paid Work Experience placements may be available in certain circumstances.
Students will be assessed by application form prior to placement. CV’s will also be requested electronically.
An assessment of English Language Skills is also required.
A range of professional Work Experience placements with International, National, Regional and Local independent companies are available to access but only students meeting the requirements of the business will be referred.
Students will gain an opportunity to put English into practice in a professional environment.
The placement opportunity will be career enhancing and give the student a worthwhile experience for inclusion in their CV.
Each placement is risk assessed by a competent person and locally based HR Professional
Placements are available throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland.
Fully Licensed
Some placement organisations are not fully aware of the importance of legal documents, employment legislation, working times and licensing when applied to student placements.
We ensure that all legal obligations are met; students have the correct visa’s, work permits and working papers.
We are government licensed for industries that require this. For example we are licensed with the GLA.
We have legal experts supporting our business and providing accurate information to us on a daily basis.
In the United Kingdom we have been inspected by the Home Office and commended for our practices.
Our partners can view our licenses at any time.
Support and Aftercare
Every student receives support from our Placement Coordinator and locally based HR professional whilst with the business andafterwards.
Where appropriate, we will advise students on the legalities of working in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
All students are identity checked and fully eligible for opportunities placed at.
Each student will receive a Business Reference and a Certificate showing their attendance on the placement.
Students receive a professionally written business CV on completion of the placement.
We provide career advice to every student and work with organisations such as NARIC with the comparability of qualifications.
Future Employment Opportunities
Each Work Experience placement offers the opportunity to gain experience in a professional work place of business practices in the United Kingdom and Ireland. It is anticipated that in certain situations the student may be offered paid employment for the future, by the business. In every case we will discuss this with both the student and the business and advise of the legal position before either part makes a decision.
